Lava Bites from the Frostkrone Food Group are one of the winners of the Taste Innovation Show of ANUGA 2019
Rietberg, 30th September 2019. The name basically says all there is to say: black just like volcanic rock and also with a trace of glowing lava. The Frostkrone Food Group winner at the Taste Innovation Show is a real eye catcher due to its exciting, appealing appearance. A specialist jury comprising journalists selected the industry's top innovations within the framework of the ANUGA 2019.
Lava Bites do not only impress with their external, unique appearance as they also have a lot to offer inside: Just one bite, and the creamy Cheddar cheese starts to flow out, just like red lava. Red jalapeños, as one of the ingredients, provide the sharp, spicy kick on the palate.
Finger food creations as five-fold at ANUGA
The Frostkrone Food Group presents itself with all its available concentrated resources to companies and impressively illustrates its product variety at the ANUGA in Hall 4.2. on Stand 030.
A lot of things have occurred at the finger food and snack expert since 2018, which has already been on a national and international expansion course for five years now. Since this period, the Frostkrone Food Group has included - in addition to frostkrone and Bornholter - the Varenne Gastronomie and Piz`wich Europe companies which are both based in France. The US company Rite Stuff Foods Inc. was also incorporated into this finger food and snack family at the beginning of 2019. All these companies will continue to be active as independent brands, united under the umbrella of the Frostkrone Food Group.
All finger food and snacks, which are available from the groups, can now be found in freezer chests at supermarkets, discount stores, food service outlets and snack locations almost everywhere in Europe as well as in parts of the USA and Asia.
Exceptionally trendy
The "Fingerfood & Snacks" category is a fast moving, rapidly changing market and consumers demand not only variety but also a topical, up to date approach. It is therefore extremely important that the latest trends are presented, and can be found, in the freezer.
In addition to Lava Bites, the Frostkrone Food Group also presents five new XTREME products. Their hallmark is clearly demonstrated in the fact that they all have exceptional properties:
Maxxarella is probably the longest cheese treat which one can fit between two fingers and, due to a unique manufacturing process, the mozzarella inside can be drawn out enormously. The cheese is melted delicately and then served in finely seasoned crispy breadcrumbs, baked to an appealing golden yellow finish.
Crack ‚n‘ Cheese Cubes provide food service companies and consumers with an amazing degree of design freedom for serving and decorating due to their cube shape. The extremely crunchy shell made of super crispy baking dough conceals a delicious macaroni baked in hearty cheese sauce and crispy bacon. A snack that even bold men simply cannot resist.
APPLE LOVE BALLS do not just offer all the advantages of a modern dessert but also offer pure taste seduction: serve them as a finger food dessert at parties, hot with ice cream or as a sweet snack, for example, in the aeroplane.

Completely organic: Pizza Pocket Organic is filled with tender melted Mozzarella, tomatoes and spicy Pesto sauce.
The Pocket Snack products are available both for the microwave as well as for the oven. Pizza Pockets are perfectly suited for bake-off stations, fuel stations and corner shops due to their practical shape and their simple preparation method.
