Once again, the leading international trade fair for private labels proved to be the perfect stage for presenting new product ideas, strengthening existing partnerships and establishing valuable new business connections. Across countless discussions with international retail decision-makers, one message became especially clear: Frostkrone continues to strengthen its position as a highly innovative and reliable partner for the global private-label market.

New Finger Food Highlights

Particular attention was drawn to the new Cheesy Loops, which were selected by the expert jury for the New Product Expo 2026. With their golden-brown finish and distinctive ring shape, they are the kind of snack that immediately catches the eye in the frozen aisle. Smaller than conventional frozen snacks at just 14 grams each, the Cheesy Loops are ready to serve in around two minutes while staying deliciously crisp for longer. They are available in three varieties.

The other new product launches also impressed visitors with their quality, versatility and distinctive flavour profiles. Feedback from retail partners and trade visitors was consistently positive, confirming that Frostkrone’s latest creations perfectly reflect current consumer tastes and snacking trends. Among the highlights presented were:

  • Alm Bites: Creamy Obazda-style cheese with a rich, savoury flavour, coated in a crisp, golden-brown pretzel crumb
  • Cheesy Cheezies: A hearty combination of two mature Cheddar cheeses and seasoned potato, rounded off with notes of garlic, onion, tomato and paprika
  • Mediterranean Herbes de Provence Camembert Triangles: Wonderfully creamy Camembert wrapped in a fragrant herb coating with rosemary, thyme, basil and marjoram for a true taste of the Mediterranean
  • Luxurious Truffle Mac & Cheese: Tender Italian pasta with a rich blend of mature Cheddar, Mozzarella and cream cheese, refined with aromatic truffle oil
  • Popcorn Dog: A smoky Strasbourg-style sausage in a light, fluffy batter with irresistible street-food appeal

Private Label Continues to Gain Momentum

“PLMA is one of the standout events of the year for us. Once again, we saw just how strong the demand is for innovative, high-quality finger food concepts within the private-label sector. We had some excellent conversations, received very encouraging feedback from the market and are excited to build on the new relationships and opportunities that emerged during the show,” says Emiel Lommen, Global Commercial Director at Frostkrone Food Group.

Private label has evolved far beyond simply being an alternative to branded products. Today, consumers actively trust retailer brands and increasingly associate them with quality, innovation and strong value for money.

As an experienced partner to the retail industry, the Frostkrone Food Group develops tailor-made finger food and snack concepts that combine creativity, premium quality and clear differentiation at shelf level. The result is a product range that not only stands out in the frozen aisle, but also helps retailers strengthen customer loyalty and create lasting consumer appeal.
